**Q: What exactly am I buying?**
A digital guidebook (an e-book) you download and keep. Soft Landing guides are written for people immigrating to and settling in the United States, blending the practical paperwork and logistics with the honest, human side of making a move, the parts most official guides leave out.
**Q: Who are these books for?**
Anyone navigating a move to the U.S. whether you're just weighing the idea, deep in the visa and paperwork stage, or freshly landed and trying to find your feet. They're written with immigrant families, accompanying spouses, and first-time movers especially in mind, by someone who has made the journey more than once.
**Q: What's inside?**
Each guide walks through the real logistics of settling in, paperwork, systems, and everyday practicalities, alongside reassurance and hard-won perspective for the emotional side of the move. Check each product's description for a full breakdown of what that specific guide covers.
**Q: Which book should I start with?**

## Formats & devices
**Q: What format are the books in?**
All of our guides are currently delivered as PDFs. PDF is the most universal format: it opens on almost any device and keeps our careful page design, charts, and illustrations looking exactly as intended.
**Q: What can I read a PDF on?**
Just about anything: phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and most e-readers. On a computer you can use any web browser or a free reader like Adobe Acrobat Reader. On phones and tablets, your device's built-in Files or Books app will open it, or any free PDF app from your app store.
**Q: Can I read it on a Kindle?**
Yes, with one small step. Most current Kindles support PDFs, you can email the file to your device's "Send to Kindle" address or transfer it via the Send to Kindle app or website. Note that PDFs display on a fixed layout rather than reflowing like a native Kindle book, so a tablet, phone, or computer often gives the most comfortable reading experience for design-rich guides.
**Q: Can I print it?**
Yes, your purchase includes the right to print a single copy for your own personal reference. Please don't distribute printed copies (see our Terms of Service)

## Buying, delivery & downloads
**Q: How do I receive my book after I pay?**
Delivery is instant and digital. As soon as your payment goes through, you'll get access to download your PDF, usually via a download link on the confirmation screen and sent to the email address you used at checkout.
**Q: I didn't get my download link. What do I do?**
First, check your spam, junk, and promotions folders, and confirm you entered the right email address. If it's still not there, email us at hello@softlandingguide.com with your order number and we'll resend it right away.
**Q: My download link expired or stopped working.**
No problem, links can expire for security reasons. Just email us at hello@softlandingguide.com with your order number and we'll get you a fresh one.
**Q: Can I download it more than once / on more than one device?**
Download and save the file, then copy it to any of your personal devices. If you hit a download limit or run into trouble, reach out and we'll help. The file is licensed for your own personal use (and your household's). Please don't share, resell, or upload it elsewhere.
**Q: Do you offer refunds?**
Because our guides are digital downloads, all sales are final and we're unable to offer refunds. You get instant, lasting access to your book the moment you buy , which is also why we can't take it back. That said, if your download won't work, you were charged twice, or you received the wrong file, email us at hello@softlandingguide.com with your order number and we'll make it right.
